The Las Colinas neighborhood near Irving, TX is a highly desirable place for corporate and business relocation because of its location central to Fort Worth, the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas. This neighborhood draws the upscale residents that live and work in the Metroplex, as well as many corporations due to its numerous offices and office towers to provide them with a place to work. Las Colinas is a true urban center, and this is the place to live if you want convenient access to the city and all it offers.
Everywhere you look in Las Colinas, you will see that the community was designed with luxury real estate buyers in mind. From the luxury homes to the private country clubs and gated communities, this section of the Metroplex is as upscale as they come. Dotted with office towers and luxury hotels, the community meets the needs, and wants, of its residents well.
In 1972 affluent rancher Ben H. Carpenter decided to create one of the first planned communities in the country, and the south's largest mixed-use development. The community, which he called El Ranchito de Las Colinas, covered over 12,000 acres of land and was planned with the help of urban planners to ensure that every need of its residents would be fully met. With time the development, later called Las Colinas, began to thrive. The building boom of the 1980s took Las Colinas right alongside it, and many corporations began to move their headquarters, and their employees, to this little community. When the real estate market crashed, the community began to suffer, but the 1990s brought it back with the development of another multi-million square foot office space.
Today, Las Colinas houses over 2,000 companies, including several Fortune 500 names. Alongside these major area employers, luxury town homes, spacious single-family estates and three private country clubs await those who are moving to the area. Modern Las Colinas also boasts the only AAA Five-Diamond resort in Texas, the Four Seasons Resort and Country Club, located on MacArthur Boulevard. The latest picture of Las Colinas is a picture of luxury and affluence.
